5 habits to make your day more productive!

A good day starts the night before! Sleep is fundamental period end of subject! If you want to be productive, you must get adequate sleep.

Get enough sleep at night so your body has enough energy to conquer your day ahead. The more productive you are in morning, the more productive you will be throughout the day.

Your morning is the platform for your day.  Having the right mind-set will send out positive energy and in return you will receive positive energy.

Have a healthy breakfast. Start your day off with a healthy breakfast.  When it comes to the most important meal of the day, the options are endless. You have to choose wisely but make sure you have a good protein to carb ratio.  coffee please

Breakfast is where you will want to incorporate some carbs if you are on a low-carb diet. My typical breakfast consists of organic eggs, organic sauerkraut and Ezekiel toast with Ghee.  If you are doing an intense morning workout you have to eat a hearty breakfast to avoid a crash.

Exercise & Stretch and give thanks to your body. Even with ailments, love yourself.  If you have a chronic back issue or a knee issue, don’t just say “Ugh my back” or “My knee hurts, I can’t move”, tell yourself it will get better and tell your aching body parts that you love them. Try it… it really works.

It doesn’t have to be a cross fit workout or spin class at 6:00 AM, or if you are about that life, get it!  Everybody is different and needs different workouts to start their day.  Even if you can’t make the gym or Yoga class, you can do an at-home workouts, a garage circuit, or even just a walk/jog around the neighborhood.  Whatever gets YOUR mojo going!

Make a To-Do List Now you can make a list of all the things that you need to accomplish by the end of the day. Sometimes it’s best to make the initial to-do list before you go to bed, so you can start crossing items off as you go instead of thinking of them that day.

You can also brain dump all your stuff that needs to be done that week, but prioritize what needs to be done or it will just overwhelm you and have a negative effect on you instead.

Just prioritize the different tasks in order of importance.  Pick 3-5 things max to do per day, and if you get through those things go to your master ‘brain dump’ list and pick a couple of more things.

Create Clear Goals. Think about the actual goals you have for the day on your to-do list. When you prioritize them, look at how you will accomplish them. The smarter your goals are, the more productive you will be.

Your morning routine can be one of the most productive times of the day. It’s all about giving yourself the best start with exercise, breakfast and a well thought out plan. You’ll then be ready to take on the day ahead. Don’t forget to always wear your invisible crown!

April not only understands this but wants to help you get passed those moments when fear and frustration take over and self-doubt makes you want to quit.

She will be sharing different techniques she has used over the years to grow her business to where it is today.  She wants to share her experiences from being the hotel executive and a single mom to taking the leap of faith and starting her own business and working as an entrepreneur and wearing many different hats.

With many failures and disappointments, she took those experiences to adjust the course and keep moving towards her purpose.

Every woman needs a place to call home, a place where she can fully be understood and appreciated. This is like the coffee date with your girlfriends after a workout, where you can just chit chat about anything from what you are cooking for dinner to what outfit you are going to wear or the new Kylie lipkit color that just came out.

April has created that place and has the dream that hundreds and thousands of women will be inspired because of it. #DreamBigHeadshot by Kelli Price, March 2016 Faena Miami Beach Hotel

The journey called LIFE!

9Life is full of options and choices!

While some of these choices are small and easy, like what to eat or what to wear, other choices can be much more complex.

It’s these big choices in life that demand complete understanding, focus and efforts. As women, these big choices multiply at every stage in life. Starting from the choice of career, then family, then self and ultimately all becomes one big mess!

What is important to understand is that whatever choices you make have an impact on your life. Sometimes a wrong choice can add stress, pressures and added tensions to life and some other times it may just lead to frustrations.

For example, there are many women who choose to compromise on their career growth to give more time and energy to their children or family. Firstly, there are no common right or wrong choices.  What might be wrong for one person, might be right for another and vice-a-versa.

Ultimately, choosing to compromise on career for happiness makes it the right choice for you, but if it causes tension and stress in the home, then it’s the wrong choice!

Then again, it’s all about balance and trusting that you will make the right decision.  Sometimes it’s not that easy, and we have all been there and will continue to struggle with the daily, “Did I make the right choice?” or  “Is there something I could have done different or better?” when something is uncertain.

Whatever you choose in life must bring happiness, peace and harmony.

You cannot depend on someone else to make a choice for you; it has to be made by you and you alone! Yes, talking to your friends and family may help you analyze and rationalize the choices but the ultimate choice is yours. We often don’t realize the impact our choices have in our life. even the smallest of choices we make can have a big impact.

If we choose to eat an unhealthy snack every day, it will sooner or later impact our health. Yes, that’s a choice you make too! It is also important to help our children by making wise choices for them in their infant, toddler and adolescent years! Their future depends on our choices as parents. Having a 9 year old who is very aware of what she puts in her body isn’t because she chose that path, I helped create her thinking by making choices about what I fed her, taught her and exposed her to.

These choices may sometimes seem as challenges and yes you need to deal with them with the same attitude. Your entire existence and future is a direct result of your choices. Making the right choices, (the ones right for you) will make you a more content person both personally and professionally. You need to have faith in your own choices and once made, after thinking through, it’s time to start respecting your own choices! You can only be happy, truly satisfied, when you believe in the choices you make. So choose, but think first, and then with full faith embrace the choices you make! Enjoy the journey called LIFE and choose wisely.
